In the 2021-2022 season, quadrivalent vaccines - Vaxigrip Tetra and Influvac Tetra - will be available on the Czech market.
Influenza vaccination during the following season will be very important due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Great emphasis is placed on vaccination, especially in the most vulnerable part of the population - health professionals, the elderly, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases and children (can be vaccinated with the above vaccines from 6 months).
The precautionary measures introduced for covid-19 are not sufficient protection against the flu itself due to the different measures and the ongoing potential disintegration in different countries.
The goal of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic is to ensure a sufficient number of influenza vaccines before the start of the season.
